Past Events

2019/20

2019 and 2020 has seen PIR society host some amazing events!

In term 1 we proudly hosted the Runnymede and Weybridge General Election Candiate Hustings, which won us Best Event at Society Awards!

Guest talks have been hosted, from Baroness D’Souza to Mark Regev, the Israeli Ambassador, giving an exciting opportunity for students to meet with esteemed guests!

We of course throughout the year have hosted our infamous Pub Quiz, with the Lecturers coming a groundbreaking 4th, seeing our LIMUN delegation winning!

This academic year has also seen us continuing hosting Brexit Leaving drinks part 2 and 3, and of course our General Election Results all nighter.

Our close relationship with the PIR department gave us a great opportunity to host an Academic Round Table with Proffessor’s James Sloam, Chris Hanretty and Oliver Heath, giving their run down on the 2019 General Election.
